Install Speaker.bot

In this section we will configure our Text-to-Speech API and choose our voice for the bot. You may consider using a program such as Virtual Audio Cable to route this into OBS on its own dedicated channel.

Download and install Speaker.bot from https://speaker.bot

  1. Open Speaker.bot
  2. Navigate to Settings --> Accounts --> Twitch.
  3. Click Login to go to your default browser.
  4. Login to Twitch and Authorize the permissions.
  5. Navigate to Settings  Speech Engines
  6. Click the Google Cloud tab.
  7. Click the … button and then select your JSON file you downloaded from Google Cloud
  8. Click the Google button to sign-in
  9. If you did this correctly, the Google button will be disabled.
  10. Navigate to Voice Aliases
  11. Type a name for your voice alias (should be based on the voice you intend to use)
  12. Click Add
  13. Choose the appropriate output device for this voice.
  14. Under voice, choose the voice you would like to use.
  15. Click on Test Voice to make sure everything is working properly.
  16. Navigate to Settings  General.
  17. Check the box for Enabled.
  18. Make sure the overall proper Output device is selected. Different voices can be routed to different audio channels, but default actions will flow through the device set in general.
